To be fair, perhaps I should have given it more than a half hour trial, but I just got the new HULK game and it was calling to me from the shelf. The music is pleasant, however, I would not recommend this game due to the lack of multiplayer mode, and the rather boring gameplay. Mercury Meltdown Revolution has innovative controls, makes good use of the motion control for controlling the blob movement. The graphics are fun and cute but I was unable to play this game for more than about 1/2 hour before I was so bored that I just spent the rest of the game trying to see how fast I could roll my mercury off the edge of the game's many interesting contraptions.

Without a movie licence, Premiership footballers or armoury of kill-crazy weapons, its unlikely that MMR will reach a mass audience, instead limiting its appeal to gamers already seduced by titles such as Wii Sports and Wario Ware: Smooth Moves. And while many of the earliest Wii games put players at the bottom of a steep learning curve that often seemed insurmountable, the sensitivity of the controls in MMR is perfectly pitched and the physics of the levels consistent and logical, making it a cinch to understand what needs to be done and allowing players to instantly get stuck into the action. But with Mercury Meltdown Revolution, the developers have demonstrated an innate understanding of the motion controls and how to use them in a gripping, intuitive way, in turn creating the best and most enjoyable version of its action puzzler to date.
